San Sael (born Misael Sánchez Reséndiz) is a Mexican singer-songwriter, engineer and music producer.

He was born on 25 March 1999 in Mexico City to a Mexican mother and a father of Salvadoran descent. At the age of six, he contracted meningitis and had to take music lessons as a rehabilitation method. He learned to play the guitar, piano and drums and developed a passion for music.

At the age of 15, San Sael began writing and performing songs for family and friends. He was later admitted to the Tecnológico de Monterrey where he studied music production engineering. In addition to mathematics, physics and electronics, he learned recording techniques, took courses in composition and ventured into the world of computer music production.

While still at university, he released his first singles and gave his stage persona a name: San Sael, a combination of San Salvador (as a tribute to his origins) and his birth name. He began to perform in bars and small forums in Mexico City, accompanied by a group of musicians, which allowed him to build up a local audience. The Covid pandemic put an abrupt end to this activity and forced him to adapt his production process to his room. Meanwhile, motivated by the desire to travel, he focused on perfecting his French and musical skills.

After graduating, he moved to France in January 2023 to continue his studies and take his project to the international level.

With an extremely diverse sonic palette, San Sael depicts post-modern landscapes and tells stories in dystopian futures with string arrangements, distorted guitars and synthesizers of all kinds.
